Overview

Global Down Syndrome Foundation (GDSF) is dedicated to significantly improving the lives of people with Down syndrome through research, medical care, education, and advocacy. By focusing on strategies for nonprofit list growth, our goal was to grow a base of supporters and welcome them to a community built for partners of kids with Down syndrome and allies.

Implementation

Our work with GSDF brought supporters to the advocacy front lines, empowering a community of passionate individuals to speak up for change.

In doing so, we positioned Down syndrome as a continuation of the human and civil rights movement by highlighting how individuals are discriminated against in school and in public. Once educating the community with this message, our goal was to rally supporters to sign and share a petition for equal government funding for Down syndrome research and medical care.

Harnessing the power and influence of celebrity supporters, we created a social media toolkit to promote messages of inclusion at Global Down Syndrome Foundation’s largest fundraising event of the year, Be Beautiful Be Yourself. This campaign helped the nonprofit grow their list and build their community.
