Today marks #PrideMonth2021. This month we will be acknowledging organizations supporting the LGBTQ+ community and lending our channels to supporting and uplifting the LGBTQ+ community.

At Media Cause, we committed to building and supporting a diverse, equitable, and inclusive agency.

Creating an agency that is diverse, equitable and inclusive is at the heart of our core values: We seek out and embrace diversity within our team and our clients, not just to fight for a more equitable world but also to learn from different experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives of others around us.

Although we're highlighting #PrideMonth2021 this June, every month we're working towards an equitable and inclusive agency and community.

[1] Meet @mediacause Senior MarTech Strategist, Ethan Touch! For #AAPIHM, shares his experience growing up in the #AAPI community:

"Growing up in a Cambodian household, I never heard my parents say, 'I love you.' It used to bother me. Now that I’m an adult, I realize my parents were raised differently, so their way of expressing love is through actions and not so much through words.

After my dad passed away, I realized I couldn’t go another day without telling my mom I loved her. It took a while, but I finally told her. These days she can’t stop saying it! I understand it’s hard for some people (including me) to say out loud: 'I love you.' But when it comes to your parents, you only get one chance."

As we continue to honor #AAPIHeritageMonth, we want to bring back Ep. 3 of the #IfNotUs podcast.

In this episode, Ivy Teng Lei, Head of Growth @exygy, and our hosts provide some resources on how we can help support the #AAPI community, through the rise of Anti-Asian hate crimes.

Watch Ep. 3 now at our link in bio.

Meet @mediacause Senior Technical Project Manager, Christine Straub! For #AAPIHM, Christine shares how much her heritage means to her:

"Growing up, I didn't want my Korean American heritage to stand out or differentiate me. For example, during my grade school years, I distinctly remember asking my mom to pack me "normal" food rather the kimbap (seaweed wrapped rice) or yubuchobap (fried tofu stuffed rice) because it wasn't the traditional lunch that other kids brought.

Looking back, at that time in my life, I didn't know how to appreciate and celebrate my background. Through the years, thanks to my community, leaders, and mentors, I've grown to celebrate and acknowledge my culture. For those who may be experiencing what I experienced while I was growing up, my encouragement to you is: take the time to learn, celebrate the differences, and be proud!"

As we wrap up week two of #MentalHealthMonth, check out Stanford's, "Touchy Feely" course that focuses on how to cultivate authentic relationships through a commitment of honest communication.

Living through a pandemic, this past year, has led to many #MentalHealth issues for people in our communities.

Today, we want to introduce the team from @NAMICommunicate. They offer mental health support and more.
