How to Sign Up for Google Ad Grants
Your nonprofit has finally received its 501(c)(3) status, and you’re feeling great! What’s the next step?
Now that your organization is officially recognized by the IRS, you can tap into a bunch of resources on Google to promote your nonprofit, including Google Ad Grants. Under the program, nonprofits can receive up to $10,000 every month for advertising on Google.com. But signing up for the program is a two-step process.
Assuming you meet the Google for Nonprofits eligibility requirements, you can register your organization on Google’s page for nonprofits:
1. Go to http://www.google.com/nonprofits/
2. Click “Join The Program” and then click “Apply.”
3. Select the relevant fields in the form, and provide your employee identification number.
While you now have access to various Google for Nonprofits products, you still need to sign up for Google Ad Grants.
After logging in to Google for Nonprofits, make your way to the Google Ad Grants enrollment page. Assuming your nonprofit is eligible, you’ll be required to check a few boxes and provide the URL which you intend to promote. One more waiting game and you should be good to go.
